All Year – Saturday, 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm
We are able to offer birthday parties in three very distinct woodlands on the outskirts of Bristol:
Overscourt Wood: East of Bristol, near Siston Common. This is a largely new woodland, with pockets of mature woodland. It covers a site of approximately 200 acres, so there’s plenty of room to run about and roam free!
Ashton Hill: West of Bristol, near the village of Failand. Ashton Hill was formally a part of the nearby Tyntesfield Estate in Wraxall. Consequently, many of the larger trees were planted in the 19th century. The Giant Sequoia grove dates from this period of estate landscaping. They are a spectacular site.
Wraxall Piece: Another beautiful woodland on the West side of Bristol, about 5 minutes from Leigh Woods. There are some amazing beech trees and also a wonderful ancient hazel coppice. This site has the added bonus of a private car park.
How many party goers?
Up to 20 children.
Parents/Carers are welcome to stay; we will encourage you to volunteer in supporting the children.
What will happen at the party?
We will provide the party goers with a fantastic forest experience to remember! They will have fun: playing, making forest art/craft, exploring nature, learning new skills, singing songs, playing organised games, building a fire and cooking marshmallows. Hot chocolate is another popular choice, especially on a frosty winters morning. We can offer a range of activities to suit the age and needs of the children.
If you want to bring a party picnic to eat around the campfire, we are happy to accommodate that too. Parents/Carers often bring a birthday cake or cupcakes, so we can sing happy birthday to the special person and enjoy an important moment together.
We can make the party a little longer at extra cost, giving us a little more time to cook hot-dogs on the fire. If this is of interest, please ask when you inquire.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is wet or snowing, we keep going! We will prepare a shelter in the woodland.
How much will it cost?
Basic cost of the party is £160 (including the cost of the first 10 children)
Additional children – £12 per child (up to a total of 20)
Additional 1/2 hour for cooking hot dogs – £40. (Parents/Carers can bring rolls, sausages and ketchup or we will provide at an additional cost).
