It was great to be back at Easton Primary Academy after a short break. It was wonderful to be greeted by so many excited and expectant faces. For some it was their first Forest School experience, while others had spent time with us during their sessions in the nursery. These children were eager to show the new ones the ropes and we were amazed by how much they had remembered.
A highlight came today, when we showed the children some buttercups. While talking about why we weren’t going to pick them. One five year old explained to us how the bees depend on them to make their honey and we eat honey, so picking them would mean less food for us. Wow, we weren’t expecting that answer! Instead, one child suggested we all get down on the ground and smell them. So of course we did! Forest School never ceases to amaze us.
