Today was all about tracking animals in the woods. We learnt about the many and varied footprints that we could find, before heading out on a hunt in pairs. There were lots of successful finds. We also noticed that the 30 fat balls that we had made last week had all been eaten by the the birds and possibly a few squirrels.
Next we made our own marks in the mud and with sticky hands printed some amazing mud flags. The children enjoyed flying these in the breeze before it was time for free play.
Lots of the children had ideas for creating their own rope swings. They gave clear instructions and offered many a helping hand.
