Learning the Outdoor Way

Lovely end to the week at Filton Hill Primary School; in what has been a busy week or two for us.

Marshmallow toasting was probably one of the most popular experiences today.  This was closely followed by a whole range of other exciting adventures.

A group of children made the most spectacular spider trap and even took the time to paint it. I’m sure the spiders will appreciate that.

Other children spent their whole choosing time seeking out hidden bugs; no stone was left unturned.

The children were glad to see the climbing ropes out again and were soon testing their flexibility and coordination.

Stanley’s Stick (story book) made an appearance, as well as shelter building and going really high on a rope swing.

At the end there was time for a group rolling competition down the hill. I think between us all we covered a fair few miles!
