A traditional game of hide and seek kicked things of at Forest School this morning. We had a few peekers, so the children came up with the idea of putting their coats over their heads.
Autumn is starting to make itself felt; if somewhat delayed. The children noticed that the temperature was a lot colder and some of the leaves on the trees had started to turn with some falling. This lead to a giant leaf hunt, working together as a team, scouring the woodland with our buckets.
During choosing time we used our leaves, painting them and printing with them. For some this was not enough and individual ideas started to emerge. Most notable were autumn leaf inspired handprints and camouflage masks!
It’s fair to say everybody had a very enjoyable day.
