So, we got to taste the rowan berry jelly that we made last week at Easton today. The response was pretty 50 50, with some children absolutely loving it and others preferring to stick to the bread.
Conkers were a theme of the day and after heading out from the woodland to collect them, we headed back to base to see what we could create. Preparing holes in the conkers with a hand drill, was a very popular activity. After threading them onto string, the children created perches for the birds, necklaces and of course stringed conkers for battles.
