A day of variety at St Stephen’s School today. We started the sessions with a game of ‘Man, Gun, Bear,’ followed by ‘Man Hunt.’ For the first time this year we found ourselves down to t-shirts, before the cold kicked in and we were togging up again.
There were plenty of mealworms left over from previous sessions in the week, so we all made up fat balls for the birds and hung them in the woodland.
There was time to teach a few hazel coppicing skills, before we embarked on a few Forest School favourites. This included whittling, bow making, tree climbing, fire lighting and swinging in the hammock.
Next week is the last session before the ends of term, so we’re going to make it a cook-out!
