Learning Through Play

Fabulous day in the sunshine with the Nursery children at Easton Primary Academy.  It was lovely to see them being so creative in their play.  There were some scary wolves in our game of ‘Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?’ In addition the chips and many flavours of stick ice cream were delicious at the den party!

To set things off we played a game of ‘123 where are you?’ The children were naturals at hiding.

One of our favourite activities was mud painting. We painted on paper, the trees and even Basil’s new home got a lick of paint.

To finish off the session one of the children suggested we sing ‘Wind the bobbin up.’  We realised that a change of lyrics was necessary, as there was no window, ceiling, or door in Forest School!
