Spent the day at St Stephen’s Junior School in Soundwell today.
There were some very creative moments with clay. We had children making pots, woodland animals and tree faces.
The highlight of the day was making popcorn over an open fire. It was the first time we have tried this, so it needed a bit of experimenting. However, we got there in the end, after a few popcorn fires! We all agreed that it tasted pretty delicious.
We also had some excellent sharing moments during circle time. One of our favouritewas a girl who told us that, although she had spent most of her life in the city, spending time at Forest School had made her realise that she was an outdoor person, because it made her feel free. We could empathise with that. ☺
