Super day in the sunshine, meeting and working with our new Forest School groups at Easton Primary Academy. The woodland felt like an oasis in the middle of the city.
Lots of the regular activities, including: 123 where are you? climbing and playing in the shelter. However, the sun clearly brought out the children’s creative side, with lots of imaginative play. This included making fishing rods and constructing a lake, to cooking up some chocolate mud pies.
A couple of the children were introduced to the tools and successfully used a handsaw and fixed blade knife.
We are already looking forward to working with this delightful group of children next week. Quote of the day came from one of the five year olds, while walking back to class declared, “I want to go to Forest School twenty more times.” Clearly a very large number when you are five!
